Day 1 Train to Aguas Calientes & on to Machu Picchu • To do this tour the passenger must be a day before in the city of Cusco. • We have daily departures and the duration of the tour is approximately 14 hours. Tour begins: The tour starts early in the morning when we pick you up from your hotel (4:00 AM). We leave for the train station located in the city of Ollantaytambo. We board the train, heading to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu, the travel time is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes, appreciating a diversity of natural landscapes and the impressive Urubamba River. We arrive at the Puente Ruinas Station located in the town of Aguas Calientes. From this town the buses will be taken to make the ascent to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Accompanied by a professional guide, we start the tour appreciating the panoramic view of the citadel of Machu Picchu, we continue visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the royal precincts, the temple of the Three Windows, the cemeteries and all the city for approximately two hours. Then you will have free time to take a walk around the citadel and take pictures. After the tour we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes so that they can have lunch and rest. They can then make purchases. At approximately 18:30 pm we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, the return also lasts 3 hours 30 minutes, upon arrival in Cusco to take you to your hotel.
